PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN HANDSANITIZER MENGGUNAKAN JERUK NIPIS DAN DAUN SIRIH SEBAGAI EDUKASI PENCEGAHAN COVID-19 DI DESA PANDEAN

Pandean Village is located on the border between provinces, making it vulnerable to the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, before the village was affected by the COVID-19 virus, Pandean Village implemented preventive measures by spraying disinfectant and washing hands with hand sanitizer. The hand sanitizer is made using natural ingredients, namely lime and betel leaves. This aims to reduce the scarcity of hand sanitizer in Pandean Village. These two ingredients are used because they are abundant, easily available, and affordable. The program determination process is carried out in several stages. The first stage is conducting direct and indirect observations to determine the situation in Pandean Village. Direct observations were conducted by visiting several homes, while indirect observations were conducted by reviewing data on the spread of the COVID-19 virus on the Ngawi Regency government website. After direct observation, it was discovered that in Pandean Village, there are many medicinal plants in residents' yards. Among the most commonly planted plants are lime and betel leaves. Based on this, an idea was born: making hand sanitizer using lime and betel leaves. This hand sanitizer is made using raw materials sourced from residents. The two ingredients are then ground and mixed. After the manufacturing process is complete, it will be packaged into perfume bottles. The obtained hand sanitizer will then be distributed to residents, and the production process will be uploaded to YouTube for wider dissemination. The expected target of this activity is to increase public awareness of cleanliness in an effort to prevent the spread and transmission of Covid-19. In addition to addressing the scarcity of hand sanitizer, it also aims to increase the economic value of these two plants, which have previously only been used for decoration and food ingredients. This hand sanitizer production is also beneficial for increasing public knowledge about making hand sanitizer using natural resources available in the area.
