Abstract

The provision of reading houses is carried out with the aim of providing a place for learning and as an effort to foster interest in reading for children. Reading culture can be improved in many ways, one of which is by informing the function of reading itself. Procurement of reading houses is one way to encourage children to love reading more. With the procurement of this reading house in which various kinds of books are presented which are expected to start reading interest in children. There have been many wise sayings about reading, but this reading activity is increasingly being carried out by children and this situation is really very concerning, therefore the provision of reading houses is carried out as an effort to grow interest in reading again. After providing this reading house, when the children, who previously played a lot, touched a lot of books to read. Which in various studies, reading activities of children and adolescents, among others, are strongly influenced by their accessibility to reading materials. In this case the research team helped by providing good, varied reading sources so that there were many choices of reading sources that could be taken by children and the community. To realize this, of course, there are efforts from researchers to produce varied books. There are several books that have been collected, a total of 31 books. With the holding of the Reading House, it was seen that some were able to read and understand, and some were not able to read and understand in a story etc.
