PENERAPAN METODE DRILL AND PRACTICE DALAM PELATIHAN MASTER OF CEREMONY (MC) BAHASA JAWA

Abstract

Maintaining Javanese culture is something that must be done to keep it awake because it has noble values ​​and goodness in society. As a local cultural heritage with all the advantages it has, it is something that must be done with a training activity to prepare generations who have good knowledge of Javanese culture.

One of the characteristics of Javanese culture is the skill of Master of Ceremony (MC) in Javanese which is rarely found in society, so it is necessary to hold special training in the midst of Javanese society to prepare good and correct MC in responding to the needs of the community. In this training, the Drill and Practice method is used which is deemed appropriate to produce good quality MC.

The advantages of Drill and Practice in Java language MC training are: a. Making training more well-systematic b. Each participant has good knowledge and experience, c. Training materials can be applied in the form of practice, d. There are materials that participants can use in the future, e. Able to make MC in Javanese with good quality. The disadvantages of this method are: a. Takes a long time, b. Need a committee that is ready with a clear concept, c. Requires complete facilities and infrastructure, d. Requires more costs, e. Limited number of participants.

Abstrak: Menjaga budaya jawa adalah sebuah hal yang harus dilakukan agar tetap terjaga karena mempunyai nilai yang luhur dan kebaikan dalam masyarakat. Sebagai sebuah warisan budaya lokal denga segala kelebihan yang dimiliki maka menjadi hal yang harus dilakukan dengan sebuah kegiatan pelatihan untuk menyiapkan generapasi yang mempunyai pengetahuan yang baik dalam budaya jawa.

Salah satu yang menajdi cirikhas dalam budaya jawa adalam ketrampilan Master of Ceremony (MC) bahasa jawa yang mulai jarang ditemukan di masyakat sehingga perlu diadakan pelatihan khusus ditengah masyarakat jawa untuk menyiapakan MC yang baik dan benar dalam menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat. Dalam pelatihan ini digunakan metode Drill and Practice  yang dirasa tepat untuk menghasilkan MC yang berkualitas baik
