Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran kepemimpinan dalam manajemen kebijakan peningkatan mutu pendidikan Islam dengan fokus pada (1) konsep kepemimpinan mutu, (2) peran manajerial dalam kebijakan mutu, dan (3) model kepemimpinan transformasional. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui kajian literatur terkini, penelitian menemukan bahwa kepemimpinan mutu dalam konteks pendidikan Islam harus mengintegrasikan nilai-Islam (seperti amanah, tawḥīd, ukhuwah) dengan kerangka manajerial (perencanaan mutu, pengendalian mutu, evaluasi mutu). Peran manajerial meliputi pengambilan keputusan kebijakan, alokasi sumber daya, pengembangan kompetensi guru dan staf, serta monitoring dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Model kepemimpinan transformasional terbukti memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap penciptaan budaya sekolah yang inovatif, motivasi guru, dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam institusi pendidikan Islam. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin pendidikan Islam harus mengadopsi gaya transformasional yang menekankan pengaruh ideal, motivasi inspirasional, stimulasi intelektual, serta perhatian individual, sambil menjalankan fungsi manajerial secara profesional. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada pengembangan program pelatihan kepemimpinan transformasional, peninjauan kebijakan mutu secara sistemik, dan adaptasi manajemen mutu dalam konteks nilai-Islam.
